As part of a research project looking into increasing the number of online changes of address, I designed a postcard display for use in retail USPS locations. I collaborated closely with a colleague who designed the postcard for the test.
The ratio of movers changing their addresses in the Post Office to online is about 60/40. Our goal was to swing that ratio the other way. The display was tested in 1288 Post Offices in 5 cities around the country.
After the displays were distributed a small team went to each of the cities and audited participating locations. We found that the displays contributed to a small uptick in online address filings.
